Job Title: Senior Product Manager Department: Product Management Reports to: VP of Product Management
Owl Cyber Defense is a leader and trusted partner in cyber security. We deliver solutions that protect and connect the world’s most critical networks. Owl’s product lines of cross domain, data diode, and portable media solutions provide the strongest available security checkpoints for threat prevention and secure data availability. Our in-depth expertise in security engineering at the operating system level enables us to help government and commercial customers meet ever-evolving cyber security threats.
Job Summary The Senior Product Manager (PdM) is responsible for the development, management and success of a suite of security solutions intended to securely move data into and out of cloud instances. These products are not SaaS applications, but rather they secure the most vital ingress and egress points of a cloud instance, preserving the integrity and operation of cloud workloads. This is an opportunity to harness a significant market opportunity and turn it into a very prosperous product line, leading to a new line-of-business. The PdM will understand how data flows into and out of cloud operations, taking that knowledge to leverage existing technology and documented customer use-cases to architect modular software applications around previously accredited government cybersecurity solutions; greatly expanding the current portfolio and bringing new products to market. This role will engage with multiple teams to create, manage and drive a go-to-market strategy, while identifying the challenges, requirements, and resources required for success. This person will have the drive, capacity and knowledge to coordinate development programs, build a value proposition, define customer success plans, and develop a reference architecture that showcases the value of our novel solutions.
The ideal candidate will bring prior experience working with cloud service providers in highly secure government domains with a focus on solutions that manage the exchange of files and application messaging between cloud domains. This PdM will be the thought leader for expanding a line of cloud solutions that leverage existing Owl cross domain solutions and data diodes in multiple environments. Of primary importance is working with the sales and business development teams at Owl to identify providers with acquisition plans and shaping the product strategy to respond to these opportunities.
The PdM will be responsible for monetizing the market opportunity, defining the ROI and driving growth. They will be responsible for the product strategy, road map, maintaining market differentiation and will manage the development life cycle from inception to launch and provide on-going Subject Matter Expertise support for sales and marketing initiatives.
