Senior Buyer Planner

Job Summary:

Due to continued growth, Owl has opened a new position within production for a Senior Buyer/Planner. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management, scheduling, and procurement of the inventory requirements of the organization.  Using your organizational skills, inventory levels will be monitored and maintained, shortages will be avoided, and quality will be achieved.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Source, plan and manage material replenishment purchasing process
  • Issue RFPs, analyze quotations, and release purchase orders to suppliers
  • Create, maintain and track BOMs, Lead Times of components and availability of material to meet schedule requirements
  • Issues Work Orders to Production to meet scheduled delivery requirements
  • Maintain Inventory Levels of components and sellable inventory in multiple locations
  • Generate appropriate weekly/monthly status reports for management review
  • Coordinate sales orders for delivery of goods to customers

Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field
  • Experience
    • 5-7 years’ experience in a products/manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • Must have experience as a buyer in a product sales environment
    • Must have experience in material planning and scheduling
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
    • Must have excellent computer skills, knowledge of Excel, CRM, ERP/MRP systems as a strong plus
    • AI experience a plus
    • Must have experience working in a team oriented, fast paced environment
    • Must have excellent organizational skills
    • Must adapt well to changing environment
  • Additional Competencies/Requirements
    • Due to US Government contracts, US Citizenship is required
