Job Title: Lab Assistant
Department: Product Engineering
Reports to: Manager of System Test

Job Summary:

Join our dynamic team as a Lab Assistant, where you'll play a crucial role in standardizing and accelerating our ability to test our cutting-edge network diode appliances and cross domain systems.

Assist our team have a strong and consistent lab environment where we can quickly and efficiently have the tools needed to develop and excel.  Strengthen your networking, troubleshooting and product knowledge while adapting to a fast-paced, multi-priority environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Tasks include but are not limited to
    • Rack, assemble, and mount computer hardware
    • Perform hardware, firmware, or software installations and upgrades
    • Perform hardware and software configuration and networking.
    • Perform hardware and software troubleshooting and problem resolution.


Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Education
    • High school diploma
    • Working towards College degree in a relevant field of study, e.g., computer science, system engineering or related engineering fields.
    • RHCSA or CNSA certification is a plus


 
  • Experience
    • 0-1 years’ experience in Quality Assurance, Test Engineering, Software Development, or Systems Engineering

  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • Basic Knowledge of TCP and UDP networking concepts
    • Working knowledge of Red Hat Linux and its derivatives (Fedora, CentOS). but not necessary.
    • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware.
 
  • Additional Competencies/Requirements
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent analytical, problem debugging and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent ability to closely and precisely follow and interpret written and verbal directions.
    • Capable of lifting 50 lbs
    • US Citizenship required.
