Project Coordinator

Job Title:                     Project Coordinator
Department:               Professional Services
Reports to:                 VP – Professional Services

Job Summary:
This position will have a significant role in supporting current and future products within our Professional Services landscape. This position will be in charge of assisting our Project Managers in organizing ongoing projects. This task involves monitoring project plans, schedules, project hours, budgets, and expenditures, organizing and participating in stakeholder meetings, and ensuring that project deadlines are met in a timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, project hours, budgets and expenditures.
  • Organizing, attending and participating in stakeholder meetings.
  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
  • Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.
  • Ensuring project deadlines are met.
  • Determining project changes.
  • Undertaking project tasks as required.
  • Ensuring projects adhere to Owl Development Lifecycle framework and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.
  • Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
  • Chair and facilitate meetings where appropriate and distribute minutes to all project team members.
  • Other duties as management may so direct

Qualifications:
  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field of study.
    • CAPM certification a plus
 
  • Experience
    • 1-5 years’ experience in support of Project/Program Managers (preferably in a Software Engineering environment)

Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
 
  • Experienced in SW development projects
  • Understanding of Bill of Materials configuration and management
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
  • Working knowledge of Confluence and Jira a plus.

Additional Competencies/Requirements
  • Candidates must be local to Owl's Columbia, MD office. Work from home is allowed, but must be willing to travel to local client sites and Columbia office as needed.
  • A Secret clearance is required (TS preferred).
