Associate Production Technician (Contract)

Job Summary:

The Production Technician supports the assembly, configuration, and testing of secure hardware and software systems that power Owl Cyber Defense’s trusted cybersecurity solutions. This hands-on role involves working with advanced technologies and following detailed procedures to ensure product quality and reliability. It offers exposure to a range of production processes and technical disciplines, making it well suited for individuals who take pride in precision work and are eager to build valuable experience in a high-assurance manufacturing environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and test Owl Cyber Defense products according to documented procedures
  • Install and configure software in alignment with sales order requirements
  • Inspect incoming raw materials for defects and compliance with specifications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with non-conforming components
  • Maintain and operate test equipment, including bench-top instruments and proprietary hardware/software tools
  • Assemble and debug test boards and custom test fixtures
  • Assist in the installation, qualification, and maintenance of production equipment
  • Coordinate and prepare outbound shipments for customer orders
  • Adhere to established safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Support general department operations and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
  • Contribute to team objectives through additional responsibilities as needed

Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Education
    • Associate degree or relevant technical training
  • Experience
    • 0-1 year of experience as a Production Technician
    • Electromechanical box build/PCB programming experience a plus
 
  • Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
    • Understanding of general electronics and experience using electronic test equipment
    • Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in computer-based systems
    • Experience working in a test or technical production environment is preferred
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
    • Comfortable performing repetitive tasks with consistency and accuracy
    • Reliable, team-oriented, and adaptable to shifting priorities
    • Self-motivated with a strong focus on safety, precision, and results
  • Additional Requirements
    • Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license
    • Due to U.S. Government and Military contracts candidates must have U.S. Citizenship

Employment Type: Contract (through 12/31/2025)
