Job Summary:
Owl Cyber Defense is seeking an experienced and motivated Inside Sales Operations Manager to lead and strengthen our Inside Sales team. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, this role focuses on driving performance, consistency, and efficiency across the Inside Sales function. The ideal candidate will blend operational excellence with people leadership—ensuring the team has the structure, tools, and insights needed to engage customers effectively and support revenue growth. This position plays a key role in shaping how Owl’s Inside Sales team builds relationships, supports customer engagement and renewals, and continuously refine its sales processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning (Clarity & Innovation): In this role you will work with sales leaders to develop and execute innovative plans for the sales organization. This includes things like defining sales territories, setting quotas, and managing team size. You will be expected to bring clarity to the team's goals, ensuring everyone understands the direction and how to get there.
Operational Execution (Accountability & One Team): You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, including managing forecasts and the sales pipeline. This requires holding both yourself and the team accountable for results. It's about keeping the team running smoothly by working as one cohesive unit.
Data and Insights (Support & Customer): A key part of the job is using data to understand what's working and what's not. You will need to provide the CRO and sales leaders with data-driven insights to help them make smart decisions. The ultimate goal is to provide support to the sales team, empowering them to succeed and enhance customer experience.
Cross-Functional Collaboration (Clarity & One Team): This role isn't just about sales. You will need to work with other departments to optimize processes and technology for the sales team. This requires clear communication to create alignment, driving a one team approach to get things done.
Team Leadership (Clarity, Accountability, Support): You will build, lead, and develop a high-performing sales operations team. It's about fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. You will be expected to lead by example, providing clarity on expectations, promoting accountability for results, and offering unwavering support to their team. Your leadership skills will be key to helping the CRO execute at a high level.
Requirements/Qualifications:
Education:
BA/BS Degree in business or relevant subject
Experience:
Experience selling software or software-enabled cybersecurity solutions to Federal Government customers
Inside Sales management experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) and reporting tools
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to streamline sales processes and support scalable growth
Proven track record of responsibility and dependability
Highly analytical with a strong understanding of sales KPIs and data-driven decision-making
Enthusiastic and “self-starter” approach
Experience in a B2B sales environment (preferred)
Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies or process redesign (preferred)
Additional Competencies/Requirements:
Must be able to travel as needed
US Citizenship is required due to Owl’s Government contracts (an active security clearance is preferred)
