Job Summary:

Owl is seeking a high-performing Account Executive to lead sales efforts and expand our presence within Army/SAP/COCOM agencies. This role focuses on delivering Diode and Cross Domain Solutions that address mission-critical security challenges for defense clients.

As an Account Executive, you will play a strategic role in identifying new business opportunities, fostering relationships with key decision-makers, and guiding customers through the sales process. You’ll leverage your expertise in the defense market to position Owl’s solutions effectively, ensuring alignment with DoD procurement requirements.

Success in this role requires a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, the ability to engage with senior-level stakeholders, and a results-driven approach to managing complex sales cycles. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and help defense organizations secure their most critical data.

This role offers the flexibility to work remotely. Candidates in the DC Metro area are highly desired for their close proximity to key defense clients and government agencies, providing valuable opportunities for in-person engagement and relationship-building.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities within Army/SAP and COCOM organizations
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including senior procurement executives and decision-makers
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve assigned sales goals
  • Develop and maintain key account plans that outline how sales targets will be met
  • Present solution-based proposals to prospective clients, addressing their business challenges and requirements with a focus on promoting and selling diodes and cross-domain solutions
  • Work closely with internal teams, including product management, technical support, professional services, and marketing, to ensure customer needs are met and solutions are successfully adopted
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date sales pipeline
  • Report on sales activity, update CRM notes, and provide feedback to management on market trends and competitive threats
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree in technical or business-related fields preferred
  • Experience
    • A minimum of five years of proven sales experience, with a strong emphasis on the defense market, is required for this role
    • Demonstrated success in consistently achieving or surpassing sales targets
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • Demonstrated history of closing complex product-based solutions in the Defense market, while achieving/exceeding quotas
    • Deep understanding of federal procurement processes, contracting vehicles, and the competitive landscape within the defense market
    • Experience meeting and presenting to C-level/executive contacts within customer accounts
    • Possess a strategic understanding of the technical and security requirements of cross-domain solutions and the problems they solve for Defense customers
    • Experience professionally communicating with external and internal stakeholders
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills
    • The ability to track the progress of multiple tasks, documenting and resolving roadblocks as needed
    • Ability to prioritize, categorize, and act on different types of communications via e-mail, direct message, and responses on an internal ticketing system
    • Experience using HubSpot, Salesforce, Costpoint, SharePoint, or other similar systems preferred
    • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills and the flexibility to pivot when needed
    • Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365
  • Clearance requirement
    • An active US Government security clearance is required (TS preferred, Secret at a minimum)
