Job Summary:

Owl is hiring for a Field Marketing Manger. The Field Marketing Manager will be responsible for driving event-based marketing strategies and execution to support business development and lead generation. This role focuses on planning, managing, and executing in-person and virtual events, including trade shows, conferences, webinars, and custom client events. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with sales, product, and marketing teams to create impactful event experiences that align with business goals, increase brand awareness, and drive pipeline growth.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Plan, manage, and execute field marketing events, including trade shows, conferences, webinars, and customer-specific events, partner events, and internal meetings (Sales Kick-Off), Owl Evolution Summit
  • Lead pre-event planning and coordination meetings with internal stakeholders (sales, product, marketing) to align on goals, messaging, logistics, and responsibilities.
  • Develop event strategies that drive demand generation, lead acquisition, and brand awareness, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Write pre- and post-event outbound emails and social media posts
  • Manage all logistical aspects of events including venue selection, vendor management, shipping, booth setup, and on-site coordination.
  • Create and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective strategies and maximizing ROI.
  • Manage and track event budget, reconciling invoices, completing expense reports and purchase requests.
  • Oversee the development of event materials and collateral in collaboration with internal creative teams.
  • Host post-event debriefs (hot wash) to gather insights, review event performance, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Track, analyze, and report on event metrics (attendance, engagement, lead generation, pipeline impact) and provide recommendations for future events.
  • Ensure smooth handoff of leads to sales, coordinating post-event follow-up and nurturing strategies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, vendors, and associations to expand event opportunities and exposure.
  • Maintain inventory of event materials, replenish when orders run low
  • Maintain and regularly update internal and website marketing calendar This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field is desired.

Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in field marketing, demand generation, event management or related marketing roles, preferably within the cybersecurity, federal, or critical infrastructure industries.
  • Proven track record of executing successful go-to-market strategies, events, and campaigns that drive pipeline growth and revenue.
  • Experience working with federal and/or high-compliance environments, particularly in security-focused technology solutions, is strongly desired.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • ability to translate complex technical concepts into marketing messaging that resonates with technical and non-technical audiences. Understanding of cross-domain solutions and data diode technologies is a bonus.
  • Proficient in marketing tools and platforms, including CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot), marketing automation software (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot), and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Strong understanding of federal security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CMMC) and compliance requirements critical to marketing and messaging strategies.
  • Ability to analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and customer pain points to create targeted, results-driven campaigns.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events, campaigns, and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally between sales, product, and executive leadership teams.

Additional Competencies/Requirements
  • Familiarity with critical infrastructure industries, including energy, defense, and government sectors, is highly desirable.
  • Experience planning and executing industry events, trade shows, and webinars that generate high-quality leads.
  • Ability to travel up to 30-40% to attend events, meet with federal and commercial stakeholders, and support field marketing initiatives.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and drive measurable outcomes under tight timelines.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and tracking expenditures for campaigns, events, and initiatives, ensuring adherence to allocated budgets.
  • Commitment to continuous learning to stay ahead of industry trends, security challenges, and evolving customer needs.
